Dissecting sheep brains and building sheds are just a couple of the hands-on learning that Middle School students undertake as part of our Project Lead The Way classes.
7th Graders in Green Architecture class used plans and model kits to construct sheds, giving students a change from computer designing and an opportunity to use wood, hammer and nails reinforcing what they've learned throughout the year so far. 7th Graders in the Medical Detectives class got to dissect brains as a part of understanding brain anatomy, giving them an opportunity to see, touch and feel a brain. Both projects offered students an immersive exposure to their learning targets.
