Summer School Information

The Beaver Dam Unified School District offers a comprehensive Summer School program to students in the Beaver Dam area. The program is available to children who attend public or parochial school during the school year.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (grades K-5)
Dates:  June 9 - July 24, 2025, Monday-Thursday
Time: 8:30 am - 12:35 pm (students may arrive at 8:25 am)
Location: Prairie View Elementary School

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Dates: June 9 - July 24, 2025, Monday - Thursday
Time: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Beaver Dam High School*
*Please note that Middle School Summer School classes will be held at the High School 

HIGH SCHOOL
Dates: June 9 - July 25, Monday - Friday
Time: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Beaver Dam High School

Registration

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
Registration deadline is April 18, 2025.

MIDDLE SCHOOL:
Registration deadline is May 2, 2025.

Early registration is encouraged to determine program needs.  Registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received.  Students are not guaranteed all classes they choose and some classes may be canceled if enrollment is low.  If a class is full, students may be scheduled into an alternate course.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Credit Learning, Leadership, Enrichment, and Summer Weightlifting Opportunities
Students who are in good academic standing may request enrollment in other courses during the summer instead of taking them during the regular school year.
Registration Deadline: May 2, 2025

Credit Recovery
Credit Recovery courses are available only to students who are recommended by their school counselor and/or case manager.
Registration Deadline: May 23, 2025

Summer School Fees

There is no fee to attend Summer School.  However, some courses have a fee to cover the cost of supplies. The fee amount is listed in the course description. Fees are required to be paid when submitting the registration form. Fees are waived for families that have an approved free/reduced price meal application for the 2024-2025 school year.

Summer Food Service Program

BDUSD and Taher, Inc. will provide meals to children at no charge to parents/families.  This is made possible through Federal funding of the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Free meals are available to children 18 years of age and under and to any persons over the age of 18 who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled.

Meals will be served on all days summer school is in session and at all summer school sites. Children not enrolled in the BDUSD summer school program may get a free bagged lunch at other sites throughout the community. 

Meals will not be served June 30-July 4. 

FREE Summer Meals will be provided Monday-Thursday from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm from June 9 - July 24 (excluding June 30-July 4). They will be served at TBD. A FREE meal is available to anyone 18 years & younger.

Free weekly meal pick-ups will also be available at the High School on Thursday from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm for weekend meals from June 12-17. We will switch to a week's worth of meal pick-ups from July 24-August 28. Weekly sign up is required for this. Watch for more details in the district Skyward emails.
