Annual 4th & 5th Track Meet

Our 83rd Annual Fourth & Fifth Grade Track Meets

5th Grade - Tuesday, May 8 (Rain Date = May 9)
4th Grade - Thursday, May 10 (Rain Date = May 11)

The physical education department would like to welcome you to attend your child’s 4th or 5th grade 83rd annual track meet this year at the Beaver Dam High School. The meet starts about 9:20 am. 

Here are the events in order (start times are approximate):

• Mile Run at 8:15 am. Only students that attend are mile runners.
• 50 Meter Dash starts around 9:20 am
• 100 Meter Dash starts around 9:35 am
• All Field Events around 9:55 am: Softball Throw, High Jump, Long Jump & Shot
• 50 Meter Dash Finals – 5 fastest previous times race for ribbons
• 100 Meter Dash Finals – 5 fastest previous times race for ribbons
• Shuttle Relays around 10:50 am
• 400 Meter Relays around 11:15 am
• Tug of War

For Families to Know - Track Meet Guidelines for Students

1. Know what team you are on (gold, green). Also know the events you are competing in.
2. Please remember to dress appropriately for the track meet.  Sweat suits and/or rain gear/umbrella can be brought in case of weather changes. Shorts, a T-Shirt, and good running shoes are most important.
3. You may bring a water bottle but you are responsible of keeping track of it.
4. Please remember that you represent your school at the track meet. Be supportive of your classmates and always remember that sportsmanship and cooperation are the important concepts.
5. Try your best, get some exercise, and have some fun in the sun. Enjoy your opportunity to experience what it is like to compete in a real track meet whether you win any ribbons or not.
