High School Students Create Inspirational Wall Art

Walls coming down? Students in CAPP Art 101 saw this unique construction-phase as an opportunity for Wall Art! CAPP Art 101 is a UW-Oshkosh cooperative academic partnership program course designed for students going on to college but not in an art related major. The students register through US Oshkosh and receive 3 transferrable credits from UW-O.

The students were ask to work together to design and propose a temporary inspirational wall art piece that also invited the viewers to interact with the art in some way. Through the process two great ideas came about...

Rise Above: Balloons designed using line and color on a beautiful blue sky made to look like the someone is floating up above as they pose to snap a picture.

Reach for Your Goals: Large twisted tree with leaves representing tints tones and shades of the color wheel and displaying student goals collected through a school wide survey. There is also a small giraffe (named Gary) representing the average "Joe"  reaching for his goals.
