The Beaver Dam Unified School District offers free child development screening for pre-school children age 2 yrs, 9 months to 5 yrs-old who live in the district and are not currently receiving special education services through BDUSD or the Dodge County Birth-to-3 Program.
The screening will identify children who may need further assistance. Parents will be provided with information and materials to support their child’s health, learning, growth, and development, along with information on available community-based resources and services.
Complete the BDUSD Child Find Census Form and a staff member will be in contact via email upon receipt of the completed form.

Screenings are completed by Early Education Professionals. Parents will be provided with immediate feedback regarding their child's development. The screening will determine if further assessment is needed.

According to Federal law, the Beaver Dam Unified School District is required to inform parents of their rights if they suspect their child of having a disability, which impacts their child's academic progress. BDUSD is also required to identity Child Find Activities and the Confidentiality of Personally Identifiable information.
