I have lived in Beaver Dam for almost 20 years, and I've been a teacher in the BDHS Social Studies department since 2014. Before that, I spent 16 years teaching Social Studies at Hartford Union High School. I'm married to Jana Stephens, the Recreation director here in Beaver Dam. We have two sons; Dan a graduate student at Fordham University, and Sam, an 8th grader at BDMS.
I earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Bachelor of Science in Education from UW-Whitewater, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Minnesota.
I'm teaching AP US Government & Politics and Global Studies this year. I'm also a certified public address announcer through NASPAA.
