Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes.
This one term, block class is an introduction to psychological vocabulary, concepts and theories to help you better understand yourself and the people around you. Psychology is a great class for everyone to take and will help you prepare for introductory psychology classes in technical college or four year colleges and universities; this class is also great preparation for our AP Psychology course here at Beaver Dam High School!
Psychology is graded on standards or learning targets. Students will be evaluated using multiple forms of assessment on seven "learning targets" or goals. All students are expected to master each learning target before completing the course. Daily work will be organized into a portfolio, which is also considered in your final grade.
