We value open and ongoing communication with parents and families!  This part of our website is dedicated to providing high school families with useful resources, helpful links, and essential information.

Picture Day 2026-27

School pictures will be taken prior to the first day of school during the following In-Person Registration times at the high school:

• August 4, 2026 (7:00 am - 1:00 pm)
• August 12, 2026 (1:00 - 7:00 pm)
   
• PICTURE RETAKE DAY - September 29, 2026 (8:00 am - 12:00 pm)
   

Students will be issued their school ID for the 2026-27 school year at the time of pictures.  Families should complete student registration online prior to their student receiving their ID.  More information to come on how to order pictures.  If you have any questions about picture day, please call the main office at (920) 885-7313.

Freshman Orientation Day

Wednesday, August 12, 2026
8:00 am - 1:00 pm *doors open at 7:30 am*

• Your student is encouraged NOT to bring backpacks, purses, or other like items as the day is quite active.
• Because the day is active, please make sure that your student wears comfortable clothing & shoes that do not restrict movement.
• Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for your student.
• Please enter BDHS through the Main Entrance.
   

  If your student cannot make Freshmen Orientation Day there is a New Student/Freshmen Family Orientation Night scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in the High School Auditorium.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

In Person Conferences will be offered on a first come first serve approach from 3:30-7:00 p.m. (These are not scheduled in Skyward).  See conference dates below for the 2026/2027 school year:

• October 20, 2026
• October 22, 2026
• March 2, 2026
• March 4, 2026
   

ACT Testing Dates & Information

Optional ACT Testing will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.  This test requires a fee of $100.  Cash or check made payable to the Beaver Dam High School will be accepted.  Registration for this optional test is open May 18 - September 11, 2026.  To register your student for this optional test please call the main office at (920) 885-7313, ext 2006.

ACT Testing will be held on TBD for all 11th grade students.  Digital Distance Learning Day for all 9th, 10th and 12th grade students this day.  All junior students are mandated by the state to complete the ACT.

Pre ACT Testing will be held on TBD for all 9th and 10th grade students.  Digital Distance Learning Day for all 11th and 12th grade students this day.

WI Forward Exam Dates & Information

Wisconsin Forward Exam will be administered in Social Studies for all 10th grade students on TBD (Part 1) and TBD (Part 2).  All sophomore students are mandated by the state to complete this test.

Final Exams

Final exams will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2027 (ODD Periods) and Friday, May 28, 2027 (EVEN Periods).

Alternate Transportation

Any student that is traveling with a team or group, but is not riding district transportation back to BDHS, and is riding with a parent/guardian, must have a Travel Release form filled out and on file a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the trip.  The Associate Principal of Activities will follow-up on high school students.

Weather Related Announcements

The decision to delay or close school is made prior to 6:00 am.  Parents will receive an auto-call for any weather-related school closures.
