What is Canvas?
Canvas is a learning management system we are utilizing across all grades. In consideration of the various technology tools used in education and students’ need for organization, Canvas provides a home base for in-person and virtual instruction. For teachers, this tool provides a platform to communicate learning activities, create assignments, and provide effective feedback to students. For students, Canvas provides a platform to keep track of their learning, access information from their teachers, submit assignments, and communicate with their teacher.
How will Canvas be used?
For virtual instruction, Canvas will be the primary instructional tool used. For in-person families, Canvas will be used to a varying degree. Depending on the age level and curriculum, educators will make determinations about the best use of Canvas to provide enhanced educational opportunities. No matter the age level, parents and students should expect to be utilizing Canvas on a regular basis.
