Partners Are Learning (PAL) Program

Established during the 1992-93 school year, the Partners Are Learning (PAL) Program provides one-to-one tutoring and mentoring to elementary school students through the use of community volunteers. Students who will benefit from this individualized academic assistance are recommended to the program by their classroom teacher and school principal. Volunteers follow teachers' lesson plan to assist the students with their particular assignments in math, reading, spelling, writing, and social studies.

English Language Learners (ELL)

The Beaver Dam Unified School District ELL Program is designed to support Limited English Proficient (LEP) students in their language acquisition and academic achievement. The program follows the World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) guidelines. WIDA provides English Language Proficiency Standards grouped by grade levels and language domains.
